Kathy Gulinello has made a career out of big ideas. She creates three-time Emmy Award-winning television, builds brands, shapes national conversations and helps companies and people figure out what they want to say and how to make people care.

She founded Pink Tank Productions to bring all of that together in one very pink idea factory.

Kathy has created national television and conversations seen by millions. But producing at that level is a lot more than making TV. It means starting with a blank page, originating ideas, shaping editorial, strategy and visual direction, leading creative teams, managing talent and stakeholders, solving problems at speed and making something that has to connect with a real audience. On deadline. Over and over again.

She still does it every day.

Through Pink Tank, Kathy brings that same creative muscle to work far beyond television. She has shaped messaging strategy for major brands and organizations, built brands from scratch, helped shape product launches, ghostwritten books, developed campaigns and national initiatives, directed creative, managed complex projects and worked one-on-one with founders, experts, authors and public-facing leaders.

She has also spent a lot of time reading and listening to pitches. That gives Pink Tank an advantage that’s hard to manufacture. Kathy knows what people in media are looking for, what audiences are responding to, what has been done to death and where the angle everyone else missed may be hiding. She also brings relationships built over decades and knows when they can help move a good story forward.

Kathy is especially at home with complicated subjects. She has spent much of her career working with doctors, researchers and experts to make health, science and other complex information clear and compelling without sacrificing accuracy or integrity.

Kathy tells it like it is. She gets to the point, trusts her instincts and isn’t afraid to push an idea until it gets better. She also believes people do their best work when they feel trusted and supported. Creativity needs room to breathe, ideas need room to grow and the people doing the work should feel good about doing it together.

PINK TANK + WOMEN

Pink Tank was founded to amplify women’s voices, ideas and expertise in media. That mission hasn’t gone anywhere.

Today, it also shapes the way Kathy approaches strategy. Women aren’t a niche audience or an afterthought. Pink Tank pays attention to what women are talking about, buying, questioning, worrying about, laughing at and wishing somebody would finally say out loud.

Their voices belong in the conversation. Their perspective belongs in the strategy.
